Dr. Forzani is a native New Yorker and earned his M.D. from New York Medical College. He went on to complete his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at NYU, the Rusk Institute. Following this, he sought additional specialized training and completed an ACGME accredited fellowship at the University of Virginia in Pain Management.

Dr. Forzani has specialized training in interpreting neurodiagnostics (nerve conduction studies and electromyography) and diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound. Specific areas of interest include Musculoskeletal Medicine (including muscle and joint pain), neck and back pain, interventional pain procedures (epidurals, medial branch blocks, sacroiliac joint injections, peripheral nerve blocks, etc.) and use of neuromodulation (spinal cord stimulation) for chronic pain conditions. Dr. Forzani has been published in Pain Medicine, a nationally respected medical journal, as well as contributed to the creation of two textbooks on the above subjects as staying current with scientific advancements in his field is important to him.

Dr. Forzani prides himself on being a physician that listens to patients and takes the necessary time to explain the complexity of their conditions in a relatable manner. The process in which the body processes pain is highly complex and individualized, and he believes that a better understanding of their situation leads to a greater ability to make informed decisions and participate in their recovery and healing process, thereby promoting better outcomes.

In his spare time, Dr. Forzani enjoys watching professional sports, staying active by playing basketball, football, and baseball, playing the trumpet, and traveling with his wife and two children.
