Dr. Peter J. Shaughnessy is the newest board-certified and fellowship-trained shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand specialist added to the NOSS group, and he is now accepting patients.
Dr. Shaughnessy graduated from Duke University with a degree in Chemistry and a concentration in pharmacology. He attended medical school at the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in Buffalo, NY, and trained in orthopaedic surgery at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
Dr. Shaughnessy focuses his practice on injuries and other painful conditions of the upper extremity including the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand.
Working in a multidisciplinary group like NOSS allows Dr. Shaughnessy to quickly and accurately diagnose and treat patients with a multitude of upper extremity problems. In doing so, he strives to provide the best possible patient outcomes in the shortest amount of time given the patient’s unique circumstances.
