Acupuncture: Simple Relief
Acupuncture is a broad form of medical care that involves the expert placement of very fine, FDA-approved, sterile needles to stimulate specific points and centers in the body while the patient relazes completely for the entire session -- typically 20-30 minutes. Acupuncture includes non-drug, non-surgical treatments for pain and other conditions in all areas of the body. Click here for Harvard Medical School's patient education article about acupuncture.
In February 2017, the American College of Physicians released evidence-based recommendations for treating acute or subacute low back pain with a variety of therapies including acupuncture. In our multi-disciplinary approach to patient care, we are proud to offer acupuncture to our patients seeking relief from:
- Pain -- acute, subacute or chronic back, neck and joint pain
- Headaches – trauma-related, cluster, tension and sinus headaches
- Side effects from a variety of health problems
