Physical Medicine &

Non-surgical care, tailored to your needs.

Dr. Darling specializes in advanced non-surgical care tailored to your needs.

The goal of physiatry is to treat and, to every extent possible, prevent pain while enhancing function — all through nonsurgical methods. Many patients benefit most from a combination of therapies tailored to fit their individual needs.

Is PM&R right for you?

Through collaboration with our other specialty practitioners, we offer a broad range of care. Our PM&R programs are especially effective for people with arthritis or muscle & joint disorders, and for patients recovering from sports injuries, stroke or cancer treatment.

Less medicine, advanced technology

Physiatry can help you increase your ability to manage your body’s reaction to pain — potentially decreasing the need for medications to manage pain. We also use a variety of diagnostic techniques,  including spine imaging, and electrodiagnostic techniques such as electromyography (EMG), to identify the exact nature and extent of the pain source.
