Black Men in White Coats Youth Summit: Dr. Cato Laurencin and Dr. Samuel Laurencin

At NOSS, we’re proud to support physicians who not only lead in their specialties, but also make an impact in the community. Dr. Samuel Laurencin, one of our leading orthopedic surgeons, recently took part in the Black Men in White Coats Youth Summit at UConn Health—an event dedicated to empowering underrepresented students in medicine.

Joined by his Uncle, Dr. Cato Laurencin, the two spoke to hundreds of young attendees about the importance of mentorship, education, and diversity in healthcare. The summit brought together students from across Connecticut for a day of hands-on workshops, panels, and inspiring discussions aimed at breaking down barriers in the medical profession.
