NOSS Welcomes Samuel J. Laurencin, MD, Ph.D.!

Dr. Samuel J. Laurencin is the newest fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon and joint replacement specialist joining the NOSS group, and he is now accepting new patients. As a UCONN graduate, Dr. Laurencin is truly part of the Connecticut community and we’re very excited about the new skills and experiences he brings to the group.

Dr. Laurencin performs a specific and innovative total joint replacement not commonly practiced, which is highly effective and efficient. This will allow NOSS to bring a new service and a new clinical approach to the community.

We are looking forward to seeing how Dr. Laurencin’s expertise will allow the NOSS group to provide patients with the best possible results for their unique circumstances. We know that Dr. Laurencin’s approach to joint replacement will be well-received by anyone he treats. 

He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Connecticut Health Center, servicing as chief resident during his final year of training.

Dr. Laurencin then completed an adult reconstruction fellowship through Harvard University, with appointment as assistant in orthopedic surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). The Harvard-MGH adult reconstruction fellowship is the oldest continuous arthroplasty training program in the United States.
